Knowing the book, or knowing the Lord??

So I just started this book “There Were Two Trees in the Garden” by Rick Joyner and I came across something that jumped out at me. “Knowing the book of the Lord is not our goal; our goal is to know the Lord of the book.” Wow I really love this, I have notice to many people who call themselves Christians, and men or women of God, and they can quote all day everyday scriptures from the bible. Yet the lives they live don’t look like they know or follow Christ.

If you are in leadership you prob. know the bible very well and you tend to judge people by what the bible says is right. But I ask you, how right are you? I’ve heard people judging others and telling them they are going to Hell? I’ve heard people turn away from others and talk behind their backs? Where does it say you make the final judgment? Now it does talk about us judging others by their fruit. So if a person does something wrong, we as Christians should tell them and talk to them about it. Right? Here’s another thing if you disagree with someone and feel they should do something differently or add to something you as a Christian have the right to talk to them. If they are a Christian and are following Christ they will not take an offense to it. If they do there are steps to follow to correct that, or Christ will have to handle that person at a later time. Before we look at anyone else we should first check our own fruit. Anyone can tell you how to live, anyone can talk a good talk. But only a true person of God, can Live by Christ and live for Christ. Just saying?
