I just finished reading Acts and God reveled something to me. Now that I am teaching Bible study my passion for the Lord has grown and I want to grow more and more. Now early this year I had passion, and I just didn’t know what to do or how to grow. But God revealed things to me and pointed me in the right direction. So I reached and crawled until I got a taste of what I needed and then I wanted more and more. I just couldn’t get enough of Him and still I have not filled my taste. But one thing I have realized by reading Acts is that no matter where we are in our lives God can just intervene. When he is in your life there is nothing you cannot do.
Saul became Paul and became a believer of Christ and a man of great wisdom and knowledge. Now he was a man who killed and destroyed many families because of his belief. But he was forgiven and Jesus used him to show us that we are all loved. No matter what we have done in the past, if we believe in Him and Love Him we are forgiven. God used Paul to share the Gospel to the people who didn’t know Jesus and didn’t believe they could be accepted. No other God accepts everyone and no other god was willing to die for us and to take our sins upon himself. No other God is willing to share his kingdom. No other god!! We are here on this earth to worship God to love and share our lives with one another. We all want more, we all want to be loved, forgiven, and just been in a relationship of some sort with someone. But when it comes time to share love, forgive others, and to be in a relationship we run scared. It’s either too much work, or we just feel someone should show us first, or do to us first.
Does God have to really speak to us how he spoke to Paul? We need to listen and just believe in the beginning instead of wasting time. He may be talking to us and we just block him out. We need to start with faith in Jesus and trust Him. Just as Parents protect their young God will protect us, because he is our father and wants us to fellowship w/ him and love one another. Just as we can’t protect and hide our children from making their own decisions, God will protect and hide us from every little thing. He gave us free will and wants us to learn from living. He wants us to choose Him because we trust and love him; not because we feel we have to.

Sometimes, I wished he would speak to me like he did Paul. THen I think I would have no doubt!
ReplyDeleteyeah we all feel that way from time to time. But the difference is we have faith in Jesus. He doesn't need to strike us down. We know him in our hearts as for Paul he didn't. Living by faith is much harder to do then to live laws of the flesh. He had to believe in order to get his sight back. As for us we have free will and b/c we believe without Jesus completely interfering in our lives we are on the right track and doing what he has called us to do. But then again sometimes he does interfere in our lives completely, and we just pass it off as something else.
